Protecting Oceans Together: Bird Eyewear x Love the Oceans

At Bird Eyewear, sustainability goes beyond our products — it’s woven into everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to support Love the Oceans, a non-profit marine conservation organization based in Mozambique, working to protect the rich marine life of Jangamo Bay.

A Shared Mission for the Planet

Love the Oceans is on a mission to establish a Marine Protected Area in Mozambique’s Inhambane Province using a bottom-up, community-led approach. Through research, education, and diving, they empower local communities to safeguard their oceans, promote sustainable practices, and inspire global conservation.

Our partnership helps support their fieldwork by providing durable, sustainable sunglasses — essential gear for long days in the sun and sea.

Impact in Action

From marine biodiversity research and shark conservation to teaching swimming and sea safety in local schools, Love the Oceans is creating long-term change. Their programs have educated hundreds of students, improved local school facilities, and trained young people in ocean safety and eco-tourism — paving the way for brighter futures.

Founded by marine biologist Francesca Trotman, Love the Oceans has grown from a small research mission into a global movement, attracting volunteers and field assistants from around the world.
